High-temperature sensor for use in turbocharger overheating safety device, has heat disconnecting wire arranged between measuring resistor and feeder cable, where heat disconnecting wire is clamped at end facing measuring resistor
The sensor has a heat disconnecting wire (4) arranged between a measuring resistor and a feeder cable. The heat disconnecting wire is clamped at an end facing the measuring resistor, and is resiliently connected to the feeder cable at another end. The heat disconnecting wire is guided into a ceramic capillary tube (5) over 50 percentage length. The measuring resistor is attached to the heat disconnecting wire using two bond wires (3), which are made of precious metal, where the heat disconnecting wire is made of iron aluminum chromium alloy. An independent claim is also included for a method for manufacturing a high temperature sensor element for a turbocharger overheating safety device.
