A device for moving a work-platform has parallel kinematics and support kinematics, and the work-platform is supported at the parallel kinematics and at least one element of the parallel kinematics is mounted at a hinge/joint of the support kinematic, on the framework, or on the work-platform. A drive device for moving the work-platform is joined to the hinge/joint, or the hinge/joint is part of a drive device for changing a configuration of the parallel kinematic. An independent claim is included for a method for controlling a movement path of work-platform.
