The barrier comprises a blocking wall (1) and a locking gate (2), where the gate is formed as a floating body that can flown in and pump out. The gate can be lowered into a retaining pit (5). The blocking wall and the floating body forms a horizontal circular seal gap (17) and two vertically arranged seal gaps (19, 19'). The body comprises of a lower section (6) and an upper section (7). A support for the seal gaps (17, 19, 19') are arranged for receiving lifting force, compressive force and flow force.
