The method involves setting a prefetch buffer between a decoding circuit and a memory (S100). Storing of the data of an active row in the prefetch buffer is detected (S106). Each row address of prediction block is sequentially obtained in a number of images (S104) and deciding if the address of the active row in the next prediction block fulfills a combination criteria (S110). An initial address and a length of the combined row are calculated (S112). The combined row is read and divided in the active row and a prefetch row (S114), which is stored in the prefetch buffer (S116).
