The device (1) has a holder for a sample container (2), a buffer container and in vitro diagnostic (IVD) test, where the device arranges implements in a sequence that physically corresponds to a test procedure. A surface (13) of a label (17), a radio frequency identification tag (19), or a barcode (18) is provided on an opposite side of the implements. The container is used for samples such as saliva, urine, blood, lacrimal fluid and sweat, and is used for material detection on surfaces. The test detects materials e.g. pharmacological material, in urine, blood, lacrimal fluid, or sweat.
