The method involves generating a three-dimensional graphic data set in an area of thorax for a virtual bronchial representation. Lesions are detected in a bronchial area, and biopsy ability of the lesions is determined by a bronchioscope (2). A set of possible bronchobiopsy paths is determined in the three-dimensional graphic data set, where the possible bronchobiopsy paths are represented. A determination is made whether biopsy needle reaches sufficient acceptance angle to a bronchial wall (1.1) by a simulation calculation. An independent claim is also included for an X-ray computer tomography system, comprising a processing unit.
