The device has a lower frame (2) and an upper frame (1) defining a hollow space. The lower frame receives a clay lump. The upper frame is pressed on the lump for the distribution of the clay lump up to a given distance of the frames. A frame wall of the upper and/or the lower frame is strengthened at converged sides by a set of strips. A part of the strip of one frame is curved in such a manner that a distance (6) of the strip to the other frame or to opposite fixed strip is reduced in the center of a bend (8) of the strip to increase the pressure on the clay lump.
