The carrier element slidably supports movable functional elements of a furniture on a pull out rail (5). A Bowden cable in a continuous loop is guided in a region of the pull out rail for transferring a traction movement of one functional element from another functional element. An evaluation of one of the functional elements is made with respect to the carrier element and/or the pull out rail in such a way that the Bowden cable is lockable by pressing into a clamping surface. The clamping surface is pressable with another clamping surface with the use of a clamping screw. An independent claim is also included for a method for slidable supporting of movable functional elements of a furniture.
