The interconnection has an outer body (31), which is a metallic sensor housing (11) of a gas sensor. A protective pipe (20) with a pipe section (203) of larger diameter is arranged at a housing end of outer body. Inner body (32), which is a ceramic form unit (14), is positioned in a sensor unit (12) and held at a ring shoulder (202) that is formed at a stopper (23) in transition for the pipe section. The sensor housing controls the diameter reduction in the ceramic form unit at a housing region (26) that is turned away from the pipe and directly behind an end of ceramic form unit.
