The seat (1) has a device for fixing the seat in a vehicle and/or for anchoring at a seat belt of the vehicle, and a spacer (15) arranged in a lower area of a rear side of the seat. The spacer adjusts the distance of a seat surface (2) by a backrest (4) of the seat of the vehicle by changing the alignment of the spacer in comparison to the vehicle, where the spacer is made of plastic. The spacer is pivotable around 90 degrees between two positions, where the spacer pivots in a level of the backrest in one of the positions and pivots rearwards, approximately horizontally, in the other position.
