The mounting (5) for a wiper blade (6) with a wiper lip, at the wiper arm for a vehicle windscreen, has a hook (15) with the hook sections (16-18) defining a hook plane. An adapter (12) at the wiper blade is attached to the hook in a positive fit, to be installed and removed. When the wiper blade is attached to the arm, the hook plane lies across the wiper blade plane. The adapter is in a release fitting at the blade.
