The inlet manifold system (1) has multiple swivel flaps (10) arranged in respective inlet manifold devices (3) for regulating the inflow combustion air. Each inlet manifold device exhibits two individual inlet manifolds (4, 5) that are closed or opened by the respective swivel flap, where the swivel flaps are supported at individual swivel bearings (11) that are independent of each other. Each swivel flap is arranged in an intersection region between a common single-flow inlet port (7) per cylinder and the two individual inlet manifolds.
