The method involves connecting a drive shaft with an output shaft in a torque-coherent manner, such that a preselected gear is inlaid during opening of a clutch in associated partial transmissions, where the preselected gear determines a transmission ratio of parallelly connected transmissions after closing and opening the clutch associated to another partial transmissions. A determination is made whether a wheel of vehicle blocks or rotates and prevents the insertion of the preselected gear during the determination of rotation and blocking. An independent claim is also included for a device for controlling shifting processes of parallel connection transmissions.
