The method involves receiving clock signals (CLK1x, WDQS-RCLK2x) in a memory device (110), where the frequency of the clock signal (CLK1x) is smaller than the frequency of the signal (WDQS-RCLK2x). Read and write operations are executed using the signal (WDQS-RCLK2x). An instruction processing operation is executed using the signal (CLK1x). A read clock signal (RDQS2x) is generated from the signal (WDQS-RCLK2x), where the read clock signal has frequency corresponding to the frequency of the signal (CLK1x). An independent claim is also included for a system including a memory device.
