The ball joint (1) has a ball pin (2) with a spherical ball part (2a) and a shank part. A patch-like concave section is formed on an external surface of a seat (3). The patch-like concave section is so deformed to the housings (4,5) that a patch-like lubricant reservoir (P1) is formed between an inner surface (3c) of the seat and the spherical ball part. The patch-like lubricant reservoir is brought into a form in which its dimension is larger in axial direction than its dimension in radial direction. The patch-like lubricant reservoir is filled with lubricant (G).
