The device (1) has an offset-scanning/computer tomography (CT) mode in which a CT image of an imaging article is set up based on an X-ray CT data. Rotation arms (4) are rotated around a central axis of rotation in order to receive the CT data. The arms are adjusted in a position, with which a part of an interested region e.g. face region, of the article is constantly irradiated with a cone of rays. An X-ray producing section (15) radiates the cone of rays, and an X-ray receiving section (16) receives the cone of rays. A two-dimensional X-ray sensor detects the face region.
