The assembly has a centrally situated rotor opening to receive a rotor, and a stator core (20) including stator teeth (24). A stator wire (26) is wound around each stator tooth, to form stator coils (28). An epoxy resin (30) is arranged between pairs of the adjacent teeth. The resin defines stator cooling ducts situated in direct proximity to the stator coils. The resin defines rotor cooling ducts located in direct proximity of the opening. A cooling agent i.e. oil, is applied in the ducts to cool the stator coils and the rotor. Independent claims are also included for the following: (1) an electromechanical hybrid gearbox comprising a pump (2) a method for producing a stator assembly.
