The device for determining a size of quasi agglomerate-free micro or nano particles produced in a thermal spraying process by a spraying device (10), comprises a module (14) for cooling the particles and a collection unit coupled with the cooling module for collecting the cooled particles. The cooling module cools the fluid spraying goods before reaching the collection unit under melting point and has a cylindrical hollow body (16) having a supply opening for bringing a cooling medium (18). By the hollow body, a spraying beam (12) is areawisely surrounded to the particles. The device for determining a size of quasi agglomerate-free micro or nano particles produced in a thermal spraying process by a spraying device (10), comprises a module (14) for cooling the particles and a collection unit coupled with the cooling module for collecting the cooled particles. The cooling module cools the fluid spraying goods before reaching the collection unit under melting point and has a cylindrical hollow body (16) having a supply opening for bringing a cooling medium (18). By the hollow body, a spraying beam (12) is areawisely surrounded to the particles during operation of the cooling module. The collection unit has a device for storing the cooling medium. The storage device and the supply opening are connected together by a connection line having a pumping unit. The collection unit has a deflector formed as an impact plate, and a discharge opening for discharging a carrier medium for the particle. An independent claim is included for a procedure for the production of quasi agglomerate-free micro or nano-particles produced by a thermal spraying method.
