The injector (1) has a valve body (20) with a nozzle chamber (12) for inflow and outflow of fuel, where the fuel is supplied to a nozzle (9) when a valve of a needle (10) is opened. A fuel flow path (19) connects high and low voltage fuel sources and flow path via a shared flow path, where the fuel source and flow path are external areas of a backing-pressure chamber (11). A non-return valve (22) in the flow path carries out constant access between the external areas and the backing-pressure chamber such that the fuel is distributes inside the body.
