The vehicle has a retractable roof (6) for releasing and locking a dormer window (5) of a vehicle cab (1). An electrically adjustable opening (2) is provided in an automotive body shell of the cab. A control device (3) adjusts a size of the opening. A noise sensor (7) detects noise produced by the roof, where size of the opening is controllable depending on the detected noise by the control device. A speed sensor (9) provides speed signals to the control device, so that the size of the opening is controllable depending on the speed signal by the control device. An independent claim is also included for a method for reducing noise produced by an opened retractable roof of a vehicle.
