The insert has a set of flow channels, where adjacent channels have a common side wall, which is aligned perpendicular to a transverse direction. A connecting wall is attached at top and bottom of the side wall, and forms an upper side and a lower side, where the connecting wall is arranged, such that the connecting wall runs like waves in a main flow direction (40). The side wall has impressions (100-104), which are limited by side surfaces that inclinedly run at an angle to the flow direction, where the breadth of the impressions increases in the transverse direction till a maximum breadth. An independent claim is also included for a method for manufacturing a turbulence insert.
