The multilayer polyester film comprises polyethylene terephthalate and 2-20 weight% of polyethylene naphthalate with respect to weight of entire film, and has thickness of 5-200 mum. The film has a functional outer layer(s). Independent claims are included for the following: (1) production of film; (2) packaging composite; and (3) method of absorbing ultraviolet radiation.
