Method for inserting an electronic circuit arrangement (14) in a book-type document (2), especially a passport with at least front and back cover pages (4, 6). The circuit arrangement is fastened to the document inside the book-type document between the front and back cover. Independent claims are also included for the following: (a) a device for inserting an electronic circuit arrangement in a book-type document and; (b) a book type document in which an electronic circuit arrangement is inserted.
