The simulation system for motor vehicle accidents includes stationary sensors (14) arranged along the roadway (12), which respectively scan a predetermined section (16) of the roadway stretch, as well as determining a speed and a position of the motor vehicle (10) on the roadway. The sensors (14) are arranged in such a manner, that they at least partly overlap their respective scanning sections (16). The sensors can transmit signals using ultrasonic and-or electromagnetic waves, in visible frequency range and/or IR range and/or radar range.
