PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce a polarization-dependent gain(PDG) induced by a polarized pump light by controlling the wavelength stability of a super-fluorescent light source by optical constitution.;SOLUTION: In one device and method, a Faraday rotator mirror is used for the edge of the waveguide of the super-fluorescent light source.
