A description is given of F(ab')2 fragments and corresponding IgG immunoglobulins, active as specific antibodies to drugs and metabolites thereof, and their use in the treatment for detoxifying humans and animals treated with said drugs. Said fragments are obtained by removing the Fc fragment of IgG immunoglobulins obtained from the serum of animals treated with immunogen derivatives of said drugs, which, on their turn, are obtained by conjugating said drugs with proteic or polysaccharide carriers. The description also sets forth a competitive immunodiagnostic method for the determination of drugs in biological fluids and the corresponding diagnostic kit.
