The furniture has a housing (2) fixed under display panel (11) around a base (4) to receive telecommunication equipments (3). An antenna (8) is fixed on an upper part of the furniture and connected to a telecommunication network. The housing permits the equipments to be connected to the telecommunication network and an electric network. The housing has doors (20) on its front face and passages at its wall for cables (61, 71). An independent claim is also included for a method of connecting street furniture to an underground telecommunication network.
