The prosthesis (2) has a cylindrical shaped part whose opposed ends are destined to co-operate with ends of adjacent phalanxes, and a lateral surface delimited by a cylindrical surface. The part has a threaded cavity that is opened in one of the part`s ends and receives a tapered phalangeal neck section. The other end (5) of the part has a convex surface (6) articulated in the cavity formed by a base of one of the phalanxes and oriented opposite to a cavity`s opening. The cavity is delimited by a tapered inner surface converging toward the interior of the prosthesis that is made of ceramics.
