The process for manufacturing a composite lining for vehicle seat, comprises supplying a surface covering web (2), heating a foam web (3), pressing the covering surface and the foam against one another while forming the composite lining, applying a film (8) on the heated foam, pressing and then cooling a set formed by the covering surface, the foam and the film using two cylinders (4, 5), and removing the film. The film is provided with a non-adherent material, heated to produce a sliding property and grained to confer the properties of sliding and/or permeability. Independent claims are included for: (1) a composite lining; and (2) a vehicle seat.
