The system has a central managing unit (4) with a logical central processing unit (8) e.g. graphic user interface type processing unit, processing metrological information (1) e.g. gas flow consumption information, transmitted by meters (2). A storing unit (5) is interposed between the meters and the unit (4). The meters are in relation with the unit (4) by duplex power line communication type bidirectional communication units (13, 15, 16) to collect the information and are placed by stacking on an edge of a storage case. An identification unit (12) identifies the meters by the units (4, 5).
