The module (1) has a transversal energy absorbing beam (2) comprising a body (3) provided with two external parts (4) supported on a vehicle structure such that the body absorbs energy of an impact by flexion. The beam has an energy absorbing rib (5) projected toward a bonnet and extended on length of the beam. The rib has a weakened portion (6) presenting resistance to compression lower than flexion resistance of the body to absorb a part of energy from the impact in the zone before the flexion of the body.
