The gear box has a movement transmission unit (12) movable in translation parallely to a longitudinal axis. A control unit has a tubular body (2) provided with grooves (5-10) in which the transmission unit is engaged for its displacement along the direction of the axis on the displacement of the control unit. The body carries a slide (3) movable parallely to the axis between two positions and carries masks (25-30) which partially cover the grooves to define tracks with the grooves, where the tracks form different paths to guide the transmission unit so that the slide occupies one of positions.
