The element i.e. rear end support (10), has two supports (22, 24) receiving an end of a longitudinal rail of a motor vehicle. An intermediate part i.e. intermediate surface (12c) and lateral walls (14c, 16c), of a longitudinal base surface (12) assure a continuity of a profile between the supports. A support (36) is accessible by a rear end arm, situated under the element. The support (36) has a cavity projecting with respect to a top of the base surface. The supports (22, 24) and the intermediate part are formed by elements in the form of U-shaped section.
