Cosmetic and/or dermatological composition comprises a desquamating agent (0.001-95 wt.%) and a C-glycoside derivative (I), in a medium. Independent claims are included for: (1) a process of cosmetic treatment for the non-therapeutic care of the skin and/or scalp, comprising simultaneous or sequential application of (I) and a desquamating agent on the skin, through a composition; and (2) cosmetic treatment of the visible and/or tactile irregularities of the human skin, comprising: topically applying the cosmetic composition to the skin, leaving the composition in contact with the skin for 5 minutes to 6 hours, preferably 5-30 minutes and eliminating the composition by rinsing.
