The terminal has a metallic base plate (1) fixed to an insulating support (4) and formed of copper and copper alloy. A beam (2) slides with respect to the support between a position that is axially remote from a plate`s toothed part and another position, where an electrical cable (C) is applied on plate`s teeth in the former position and a tightening screw (3) of the beam causes perforation of insulation of the cable in the latter position. The plate has length smaller than that of beam`s axial length. The beam is engaged in a support retaining unit when the beam is disengaged from the plate.
