The face (2) has electromagnetic actuators (18, 24) connecting a body to a structural element e.g. rail, of a vehicle. A controller (22) emits a rigid signal for controlling the actuators between an engaged position and a disengaged position in which the controller allows the front face to absorb high speed impacts. The actuators are disengaged in the high speed impact adsorption position. The body includes posts (6) placed vertically and parallel between them, where the posts are connected at their ends by a crosspiece (8).
