The method involves storing different types of sheaths (5) and electrical wires/cables wound on coils (8, 9), and selecting one type of sheath. The sheath is unwound for a defined length in a maintaining cover (10), and cut for the length. One type of wire/cable is selected, and the wire/cable is unwound for a defined length. A bundle (6) of wires/cables is formed by a guiding unit, and inserted via an end of the sheath till the bundle emerges another end of the sheath. The bundle is cut to obtain a pre-equipped sheath (4) constituting an electrical harness. An independent claim is also included for a device for fabricating a bundle of electrical harnesses.
