The device has a rigid and flexible telescopic pole (1) retaining a body of a competitive swimmer, and a spring hook (5) attaching the pole to an exterior of a swimming pool, to a fixed support (9). The pole has a hook (6) that turns around a fixed or removable axle, where the axle is in the form of pin and the hook releases the body when the body does not have tension. A foam protection sleeve (4) slides on the pole. A ring (7) is horizontally inserted in a waistband (2) or baldrick or waist coat.
