Molding metallic part e.g. aluminum alloy comprises casting liquid metal in fusion within mold, and cooling metal for solidification of metal and reducing temperature of solidified metal by transferring heat between metal and wall of mold
The process for molding a metallic part e.g. aluminum alloy comprises casting a liquid metal (12) in fusion within a mold (14), and cooling the metal for causing a solidification of the metal and reducing a temperature of the solidified metal by transferring heat between the metal and a wall (30) of the mold. The step of cooling comprises retracting the wall of the mold, and projecting cooling liquid directly on the metal through an orifice exposed by the wall. The step of retracting consists of causing dissolution of wall of the mold by projection of a liquid dissolving on wall of mold. The process for molding a metallic part e.g. aluminum alloy comprises casting a liquid metal (12) in fusion within a mold (14), and cooling the metal for causing a solidification of the metal and reducing a temperature of the solidified metal by transferring heat between the metal and a wall (30) of the mold. The step of cooling comprises retracting the wall of the mold, and projecting cooling liquid directly on the metal through an orifice exposed by the wall. The step of retracting consists of causing dissolution of wall of the mold by projection of a liquid dissolving on wall of the mold, where the retraction is carried out after the solidification of the metal part, which is in contact with wall of the mold to retract. An independent claim is included for a system for molding a metallic part.
