The substrate (10) for conservation and distribution of active ingredient for aquatic animals, comprises an active ingredient (30-40%), a hydrocolloid substance (5-15%) to inflate in contact with water and to create a hydrophobic film that protects the active ingredient, a palatable base (25%) and a compressed metal base. A sealed covering is placed on a part of the substrate. An independent claim is included for a process for manufacturing a substrate.
