The applicator (1) has a gripping unit (2) forming a cap for a container containing a cosmetic product. An applying unit (4) applies the product and includes an axial core (40), and an axial rod (3) is integrated to the gripping unit at its upper part and to the applying unit at its lower part. The core (40) and elements (5E) cooperate with an angular orienting unit for angular orientation of the elements with respect to an axial direction in a transversal plane, so that each element in a row is rotatably integrated to the core and provides a preset angular orientation with the core. Independent claims are also included for the following: (1) a method for fabricating a cosmetic product applicator (2) an applicator assembly comprising a cosmetic product applicator.
