The device has a measurement element (M) permitting to simultaneously record an ambient temperature (TA) of a room, an external temperature (TE) and an inner surface temperature (TS) of a considered wall. The element integrates a surface thermal resistance value according to a direction of a heat flow and the nature of an external environment, and considers a mean surface temperature of the wall by scanning the wall surface. A calculator of the element permits to calculate and display a thermal coefficient (U) value by using a formula with temperatures (TE, TS, TA) and the resistance value.
