The method involves emitting an ultrasound wave (3) with a beam oriented along an axis (31), where the wave has a section (sigma) whose dimensions are characteristics of dimensions of an incident beam. Reflected waves (4, 5) are measured on another section whose characteristic dimensions are lesser than dimensions of the section (sigma) in all its dimensions, where the waves are measured simultaneously on several latter sections. An independent claim is also included for an ultrasound beam for emitting an incident ultrasound beam and for measuring reflected ultrasound characteristics by part to be controlled.
