The device has a navigation system (220) connected to a communication bus (210) e.g. car area network bus, to provide a navigation information (N1-N3). A display device (230) displays a human-machine interface (232) and command information (P1-P3). A vehicle control computer (240) is connected to the bus and device (230), and controls a vehicle device e.g. car radio, by biasing the interface. The computer locates the information (N1) by biasing the bus, converts the navigation information into the command information, and delivers the command information to the display device. An independent claim is also included for a method for controlling navigation of vehicle for displaying navigation information produced by a navigation system on a display device.
