Dry friction clutch operating state diagnosing method for motor vehicle, involves calculating inner temperature gradients by evaluation of thermal model of clutch, and determining heating state of clutch relative to calculated gradients
The method involves acquiring a torque transmitted by a dry friction clutch and a sliding speed of the clutch respectively by using two acquisition sub-modules (31, 32), and acquiring a surrounding temperature of the clutch. Inner temperature gradients are calculated for the clutch by evaluation of a thermal model of the clutch with respect to the torque by using a determination sub-module (30), the speed and the temperature. A heating state of the clutch is determined with respect to the calculated gradients by using a cartography forming block (33). An independent claim is also included for a system for diagnosing an operating state of a dry friction clutch of a motor vehicle.
