The assembly (10) has a central mast (18), and a hoop (20) fixed to the central mast for receiving a central part of a sheet that is held between a frame and the assembly. A flange (22) is fixed to the central mast in an upper part of the central mast and includes a set of radial pulleys (26). A clamp ring (24) is slidingly mounted and locked on the central mast. A set of cables (28) are provided, where each cable includes an end that is fixed to the clamp ring and passed on one of the pulleys. An independent claim is also included for a method for assembling a shelter.
