The system has a radiological image intra-oral sensor inserted into the mouth of a patient with an integrated circuit chip (52) that generates an electronic signal representing a radiology image. An electric cable (22) has an end coupled to the sensor and another end leaving from the mouth, when the sensor is placed in the mouth. The latter end of the cable has a radio frequency receiver that is placed distant from the patient to detect a signal modulation emitted by a radio frequency emitter (ER), and to transmit a signal corresponding to the modulation to an image processing device.
