Chemical element e.g. boron, concentration estimating method, for use in e.g. pressurized water reactor, involves calculating estimated value from concentration of element in cooling liquid based on magnitudes using Kalman equation
The method involves acquiring a magnitude representing a flow of injection of dilute solution e.g. pure water, a magnitude representing a flow of injection of concentrated solution, and a magnitude representing concentration of chemical element measured by a sensor in a cooling liquid of a nuclear reactor. Estimated value is calculated from the concentration of the chemical element in the cooling liquid based on the magnitudes, using a Kalman equation.
