The device has an exhaust gas recess (1) with an electrostatic particle loading zone (6) and a loaded particle capturing zone (7). The zone (6) has wired electrodes (9) supplied with high voltage electric current and is arranged transversally to gaseous flow. Metallic collecting plates (2) are arranged parallel to the flow and extend along the zones. The plates are separated from the electrodes (9) in the zone (6) and are intercalated in the zone (7) with conducting plates (11) carried at same potential as the electrodes, where the plates are connected to a mass.
