New pyridinium-substituted aminated thiol derivative fluorescent dye compounds, useful for dyeing keratin fibers, especially for lightening dark human hair

New fluorescent dye compounds (I) consist of 2-(dialkylamino-styryl)-N-(sulfanylalkyl)-pyridinium salts or their S-substituted derivatives, where at least one alkyl of the dialkylamino moiety is substituted by a hydroxy, amino or ammonio group. Pyridinium-substituted thiol derivative fluorescent dye compounds of formula (I) and their mineral or organic acid addition salts, optical and geometric isomers, hydrates and other solvates are new. R : OH, NRaRb or N+RaRbRc; Ra, Rb, RcH or alkyl; or NRaRbgroup completing a 5-7 membered heterocycle (optionally containing additional heteroatom(s)); R' : H or as for R; Rg, R'g, Rh, R'hH, halo, NH2, mono- or dialkylamino, CN, COOH, OH, CF3, acylamino, alkoxy, 2-4C mono- or polyhydroxyalkoxy, alkylcarbonyloxy, alkoxycarbonyl, alkylcarbonylamino, acylamino, CONH2, alkylsulfonylamino, SO2NH2 or 1-16C alkyl (optionally substituted by 1-12C alkoxy, OH, CN, COOH, NH2, mono- or dialkylamino or heterocycle as for NRaRb); R'i, R''iH or alkyl; m : 1-10; p, q : 1-6; M' : counter-anion; Y : H, alkali(ne earth) metal, NH4+, PH4+, mono-, di-, tri- or tetraalkyl-ammonium, mono-, di-, tri- or tetraalkyl-phosphonium or thiol protecting group; alkyl moieties have 1-4C unless specified otherwise; if (I) contains additional cationic moieties, at least one further counter-anion is present to preserve electro-neutrality. Independent claims are included for: (1) a dyeing composition (A) comprising (I) and optionally a reducing agent (II) in a cosmetic medium; (2) a method for dyeing keratin fibers, involving application of (A); and (3) a multi-compartment dyeing device, having a first compartment containing (I), a second compartment containing (II) and optionally a third compartment containing an oxidizing agent.
